General characteristics:

Heading and notes:	Form number T.G. 41. Heading is TELEGRAM in a central box with text below.
Message area:	25 boxes in 5 lines.
Reverse side:	Blank.
Colours (text & form):	Black on cream.
Size of form overall:	Type 10A-C forms: varied but about 100 × 195 mm; Type 10D and 10E forms: about 128 × 204 mm. The increase in size was due to the war restrictions on paper finally being removed.

Distinctive characteristics of this form:

the main distinctions between the varieties are:
10A: has a REPLY PAID TELEGRAM advertisement lower left; 3½ lines of left aligned text under TELEGRAM;
10B: has a REPLY PAID TELEGRAM advertisement lower left; four lines of centered text under TELEGRAM;
10C: has a REPLY PAID TELEGRAM advertisement lower left; three lines of justified text under TELEGRAM;
10D: has a boxed instruction in the lower left corner about the sender's details; five lines of centered text under TELEGRAM; only one dotted line for "FROM";
10E: as for 10D with a boxed instruction in the lower left corner about the sender's details; TELEGRAM box is narrower with two lines hyphenated at the end.

	AW-TO-10A. Unused transmission form. Characteristics: TELEGRAM is in thick letters; box containing TELEGRAM heading has 4 lines of left justified text; FROM followed by two dotted lines; form is 100 × 194 mm for the 1949 printing but 100 × 189 mm for the 1950 printing.
	AW-TO-10Ba and 10Bb. Unused transmission form. Characteristics: TELEGRAM is in thin letters; box containing TELEGRAM heading has 4 lines of centered text; same schedule number as previously but printed in lower left corner; FROM followed by two dotted lines; form is 100 × 190 mm. AW-TO-10Ba is identical but has the schedule number (Sch. C. 6040 - 7/49) in the usual place in the CASH REGISTER box.
	AW-TO-10Ca. Unused transmission form. Characteristics: box containing TELEGRAM heading has 3 lines of text; TELEGRAM is in thin letters; G of TELEGRAM has no horizontal bar; M of TELEGRAM has splayed legs; form is 103 × 190 mm.
	AW-TO-10Cb. Transmission form used to record a copy of a message. 10 April 1956. Characteristics: box containing TELEGRAM heading has 3 lines of text; TELEGRAM is in thick letters; G of TELEGRAM has a horizontal bar; M of TELEGRAM has vertical legs; form is 102 × 190 mm.
	AW-TO-10Cc. Unused transmission form. Characteristics: box containing TELEGRAM heading has 3 lines of text; TELEGRAM is in thin letters; G of TELEGRAM has a horizontal bar; M of TELEGRAM has splayed legs; form is 101 × 191 mm.
	AW-TO-10D. Unused transmission form. Characteristics: box containing TELEGRAM heading has 5 lines of text. only two lines for "TO" address; box in lower left corner now has text about sender's details; FROM at base followed by one dotted line; form is 128 × 205 mm.
	AW-TO-10D. Bathurst St., Tas to Melbourne, 6 May 1960. Used transmission form with the same printing date (March 1956) as the form above. 28 words at a cost of 9/6. A 2/- stamp has been removed:-(
	Reverse side of the above Bathurst St. form showing the 2/1 balance of the franking in a block of 50 ½d orange kangaroos.
	AW-TO-10D. Bathurst St., Tas to Punchbowl, NSW. 1 April 1959. Used transmission form with the same printing date (March 1956) as the form above. 28 words for the message plus four words of address/sender at a cost of 9/6. The word "No." was counted as a word as too were the "6032242" and the "3" in the second line. A 2/- stamp has been removed:-(

Characteristics: no serrations at left; COMMOWEALTH ... heading sits just above the top line with no space as for previous formats; note under TELEGRAM is squashed so two lines have the last word hyphenated; horizontal lines in TO... and in the message box are dotted.
	AW-TO-10Eb. Unused transmission form. Characteristics: COMMOWEALTH ... heading moved to the right so that it sits above S of REGISTER; note under TELEGRAM has one line with the last word hyphenated; horizontal lines in TO... and in the message box are dotted.
